first MPG ratings for the F150 2.7 that I have seen

2015 Ford F-150 SuperCrew XLT 4x4 2.7L EcoBoost First Drive

Truck trend report of test drive of the new F150. They noted the MPG from not "best-case" testing conditions, however it is the first I have seen reported.

2014 RAM Big Horn EcoDiesel
Bi-Weekly tow: 400 - 600 KM
- CanAm CommanderX1000 & trailer 3500-4000lbs

Garage
If that super crew is the same as our Crew Cab, those are not very good fuel economy numbers. Every article I've read about the ecodiesel says they beat the EPA numbers.

they should also do some longer term test just to see how it changes over time, you never know.

Even if Ford gets that truck to get 25-26mpg on the hwy, i'll stick to my Ram. That truck is ugly inside and out. No way could you use that truck to tow 50% of the time and have it last. You'd work that poor little hamster of an engine to death by 100k. I think ford should use that motor in a edge and explorer. That'd be a good fuel mileage combo with good power and not expected to be used for towing near as much.

Indeed, the 2.7 isn't a working motor its for the lifestyle owner. You know the guy who owns a pickup because he wants to not because he needs too. (not that theres anything wrong with that, I'm just saying)

I'm of the opinion that if the engine can't do what you need it to do without boost, run don't walk, that puppy WILL grenade on you...

I think that there are plenty of people who own the Ecodiesel RAM who are lifestyle owners as well though.
