Hello,

I made the decision to join this forum to see if anyone is having the same problem I'm having with my truck. It runs just fine. BUT, the check engine light keeps coming on. The dealership is telling me that "engineering is working to solve the problem". This rental is a smelly Chrysler 200 with a "rubberband engine", and I am not happy. This is the THIRD problem I've had with my truck. The first time it broke down, the carrier bearing fell off. FELL OFF. My axle was dragging the ground.

We love diesels. The hubby has a 3500, and my previous vehicle was a 2500. He's looking to put a programmer on his truck. You should see us around here often!

I'm off to search other problem vehicles. :/

Cel's were a common problem earlier but software update pretty well took care of it. Haven't heard a lot of complaints lately. Ask the service manager to verify all rrt's & recalls have been done on your truck. Good luck.
Welcome to the forum. Like Boo said, most of the CEL's were software related. Some had plugged O2 censors. I think anything built after October 2014 has these fixes though. Dealer should be able to fix it up.
That's a horrible rental, they should have at least gave you a chrylser 300 or something a bit more acceptable that isn't as much of a slap in the face as a 200 is.
welcome, what was issue number three?

Check Engine
Bearing

Welcome & sorry for your troubles. You "may" be eligible to invoke the TX Lemon Law. Document everything. I'm about to go there & I'm also looking at a long term rental while the idiot service "tries" to figure out everything that's wrong with mine. Never in my life have I ever seen such horrible service & customer service! This will be the last Chrysler anything I will ever buy new. I'm in TX also. Good luck.
^ What he said.
Keep us posted on how things go with trying to go through the lemon law process.
