Any word on the fuel economy spec for the 1500 Diesel?

Is this engine not in the Jeep Cherokee? What are the specs for the 3.0L V6 in the Cherokee? I would assume they are going to be somewhat similar...?

28mpg in the Jeep, yes they're the same engine. I don't think figures have been released for the Ram, but I'd expect about 28-30 rating.

Ram is saying 20/27. But I read somewhere about testing (diesel power?) and they said expect 28+ hwy. Ram says they chose this engine over the cummins because of mpg. Obviously that's not the main reason but I'm still curious to see how they will compare.

I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks the 30MPG mark and gets up to mid 30's.
