1st problem......

A few weeks ago my truck developed a noise in the right front. It sounded as if it was coming from the passenger foot well area and immediately though it was suspension or steering related. It was a sort of a creek noticed at slower speeds ( under 35 mph), and was present when hitting a bump or turning the steering wheel right to left quickly. I could replicate the noise anytime I wanted.

I did a Web search for new ram 1500 front end noise and the results were huge. Needless to say I spent several hours and time under the truck looking for any bolts or mounts that looked like they were loose.....nothing. From the reading I did, I was certain I had a body mount, steering, or suspension problem..... I checked all the normal stuff (jack under the passenger seat, items in the glove box, rubber hood bumper stops, etc. ) I called the dealer and they got me in the next day. They had the truck for about an hour, were able to hear the noise but couldn't locate the source. I was on a time limit so we rescheduled for a week out where they could have more time with it.

Honestly I felt like this would be a noise which would be chased for a long time. However after a couple hours, and re checking all suspension and steering torque specs, they had no success. An hour or so later they called with the problem resolved!! Mysterious source..........the dash. They loosened the dash, drove it and tightened it back up....noise is gone!

I just wanted to share this if anyone has a similar issue....this may be the fix!
