it is a diesel, the 6.7 Cummins in the HD, but those engines are pigs diesel or not, a 6.7 V8 will DRINK compared to a little 6er like in the 1500 ecodiesel

Lot of good reviews for power--esp when it comes to towing. For MPG, people report up to 16/17 city and 19/21 hwy. Some towing numbers I've seen have been around 10/11

the 1500 diesel should get better mileage than that

not as much payload though of course
