2014 Dodge 1500 EcoDiesel Def issues

Hi everyone. My son is deployed and I dropped his truck off yesterday because the check engine light is on. It is a 2014 with 58,600 miles on it. I just received a call from the dealership and was told that the Def system assembly and pump needed to be replaced. They stated the pump is not working and the line is blocked. The repairs come to a total of $2,261.11. We live in the Virginia Beach area. I noticed on the blogs that this seems to be a very common problem on these vehicles. Is there any indication that Dodge is going to address this issue?
