2015 Ram SAE J2807 Towing Capacities Announced

Looks like Ram meets the testing standards.

9200 lbs? My 2014 is only rated at 7500 with the options I have.

You probably have the 3.55 gears. The 9200 is for those outfitted with the shorter 3.92's.
