2015 Warranty or New Vehicle Service contract
Can any body give me some info on if its worth getting extented Warranty for new Larmie Ecodiesel . Just reviewing why iam waiting for new truck to get in . It does become costly for this Gold plus --$3715.00 include oil change and tire rotations . Or two year for $2195.00 ? The truck has basic of 5years on motor and power train and three years on cab etc . Guy with the 2014 do we need to buy the coverage ? Thanks

I did the 7 year 80,000 mile bumper to bumper for 1380.00 with either a 50.00 or 100.00 deductible. Think it was called max care. Oil changes are ranging from 170 to 210....i did my own for 120.00 ish. I personally only drive around 10k a year so what they quoted you would be of absolutely no interest to me. Sounds pretty steep. If your dealer won't do a max care match, just go online and buy it from another dealer. You can do that with absolutely no problems. My sales guy said something like "I usually sell that plan for 2100$, & will almost always get it sold for over 1700, but once I showed him my quotes, he said he would match it. If I recall it was ziegler chrysler in Michigan that has an online matrix. Be sure you click the diesel box and 4x4 if it applies to your rig so you can compare apples to apples.
I think it's only worth it if you plan on keeping the vehicle beyond it's original warranty term and another thing to look into is how bug-free this year model is and how that can affect it down the road and if you might want to upgrade to a newer year model down the road.

I have a 14, I bought the two year top up so the whole truck has 5 year bumper to bumper. we don't get oil changes in Canada. I think it was 1800. Through it into the financing and you don't even know it's there.
That's the trick on their end, having it included in the overall financing price. Good on our end as well as at it's a very small change in price.
My personal opinion is you will more than likely need an extended warranty with this truck - not because of a bad design, but because of poor quality parts.

In my experience so far, it doesn't matter how good a warranty is if you can't get an appointment to get all the problems fixed. I have asked for a buy back, as I refuse to pay this much for a vehicle that has to wait over 30 days just to be diagnosed.

Good point.
It's always that after the original warranty term that you have to start worrying about what can go wrong and how much it can cost which an extended warranty can have itself pay for quite quickly
