Bad news, but at least we'll be safe now.

Chrysler has issued two recalls that affect over 550,000 vehicles. Approximately 381,000 Ram trucks have been affected by a problem with the fuel-heater housings and wiring harnesses. The problem can lead to overheating and possible fuel leakage.

The affected vehicle for that first recall are 2010,2014 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups, or 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs, that are equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine.

A smaller recall was also issued to upgrade the software that controls the electronic stability control. The problem is related to a debris cover protecting a certain circuit board. This is being handled as a software revision rather than a hardware recall.

There have been to accidents, injuries or fires due to the problems.
