5000 miles and Check Engine Light on

Roughly 5000 mile and the check engine light came on. Took it the dealership. The code that came up was to call Chrysler. Something to do with the oxygen sensor. They gave the truck back and are not able to solve the problem yet. 2 days later get a call with 14 questions on how I drive and if I have added any additives or equipment upgrades. Short story they still have not called with a fix.

But on the brighter side love the truck. average 26.5 on average. I do not tow but I do do a lot of driving roughly 650 mile a week. I have had the truck for 2 months.

My check engine light has been on since day one. P2868, a coolant recycle valve low amp warning. Also in a rental car...ugh...$45,000 for a Fix It Again Tony!!! Anyone want an ecodiesel...cheap?!? Ram customer service next to useless...get a Cummins!!!
Called ram customer support...Jodi assigned as caseworker...received "terse" call from dealership...my truck was bumped up in priority, and loose wire found....wonder why my case suddenly became important?!? Still queasy about my choice of vehicles...c'mon Nissa drop that 4 cyl cummins in that Frontier!!!

I have been waiting for approx 4 weeks for an "update" because of my engine light, I was told as long as it doesn't start blinking I'm ok! Ohhhh that's comforting...... I ended up swiching dealership because the service dept where I bought the truck from were being total ass's. Still have no answer... Still average 15.8 mpg and 9-11mpg towing! I totally regret this purchase! Miss my Hemi it had No lights, no problems AND got Same mpg!
The dealer took my truck in and ordered the infamous oxygen sensor. For now, they put me in a brand new Ram Long Horn 5.7 Hemi V8. I am loving the responsiveness and power of the engine but the fuel mileage stays around 14 mpg when my eco-diesel does 22-24 mpg's. Let's hope they find some way to fix the issue long term.
The dealer kept the truck for 2 weeks and had to special order the oxygen sensor on the internet because the dealers parts distribution software was giving them a 4 week lead time (those oxygen sensors are in big demand). Everything is back to normal except my cruise control doesn't turn on again. Pretty annoying. I'm going to be dropping it off for the second time with the same issue. I still like my ED but I'm pretty concerned with overall quality.
I took my truck in at 3001 miles for "engine light" and my remote start would start but when I was in proximity of my truck, the truck would shut off. Restarting was not an issue. The dealership initially told me it was an EGR sensor and it would take a week to receive the part the schedule me in to change it out. I was told that I could take my truck until then cause drivability was not gonna be an issue. Two days later I was called and told that it wasn't a sensor and that it had something to do with a software or software batch. Their engineers are aware of it and are working on a solution. Issue started 29 Sept and still waiting.....upside is my truck still runs normal, getting combined city/highway 26.4 mpg!
Been to dealership four times since July when the first CEL appeared. Previous "fixes" included the O2 and temp sensors. Fix "du jour" was a software flash. Will see if this one lasts. The last "fix" was the temp sensor which lasted a big 16 miles. The good news today was the service manager did not charge for a tire rotation. Small token, but was a sincere gesture on his part of the CEL issues i had/have.

With remote start the truck will shut off after 15 min or running.. I wonder if you are just hitting that time limit repeatedly. the manual has more info in it
I have a continuous problem with the check engine light too. They say it is an exhaust sensor/emissions issue. I have less than 10,000 miles on the truck and I've been back to the dealer 5 times. They do what the tech line experts say, but still no solution. It is a 90 minute to 2 hour ordeal every time I drop the truck off. It rides and drives great, but it surely is not worth the aggravation. If they can't fix it this time I want them to take it back.
The dealer update the sofware on my truck around 2 week ago, and is working fine sice them

I had the same problem 1 month after purchase. After numerous trips to dealer, Chrysler finally fixed the problem. They replaced 2 sensors and the entire computer. All is OK now two week later.

Had an engine light come on last week... Just abt 3500 mi on the ED. Had to work so I had the wife take the truck by the nearest dealer and have the code read as they don't have diesel tech available on Saturdays. Service mgr calls and tells me it's a simple sensor replacement, but they need to order the part. Cleared codes, fine to drive for vacation. Said to call and schedule appt for fix when I return. Call today to schedule appt, and the guy tells me it will be at least 3-4hrs, maybe more... The prescribed fix is to remove all sensors and 'clean' them out... Call the dealer where I bought the truck, and the guy says to come by, let him read codes and he'll order any sensors that might be causing the problem.... MPG was down abt 1-1.5mpg on return trip and seemed to lag just a bit on acceleration.... We'll see what they say on Monday when I drop it off...

Also, had a code for 'check electronic throttle control module' come up... Tech says its because I hit the accelerator and brake at the same time? WTF? really.... we'll have to see what happens with that as I have size 14(read BIG ASS) feet and that s**t happens all the time....
That is so true, not the big fee,t but touching both at the same time drives the Computer nuts. I have it happen a and the rig does not know if it should go or stop. I work very hard to keep my left foot out of the action.:(
I have had my truck at the dealer four times as well. First they did a software flash, light went out and came back on again the same day. Took it in a again and it came up with the same code, emissions. They had to then order a special tool to remove a sensor, went back a week later to have the new sensor put in, that also only lasted half a day before the light came back on.

Now they say they have no more answers and they are waiting to hear from Chrysler what to do about it.

Truck runs fine.
Sounds like Lemon Law time...3 times a charm!!
Update:
So they replaced the DPF and since then the check engine light has not come on. It seems to be okay.
New Ram ecodiesel - I just got the truck end of November, and my sensor was replaced last week after a couple of trips to the dealer with the engine light on; finally got the truck back and it seemed fine, but today a new message came on about my fuel pedal and had to take it back in because it's not allowing it to go more than 60 km/h. Anyone know anything about this issue? They gave me a rental and no date for when it would be fixed so this is concerning. Nothing but problems with mine so far.
I've had mine in the shop numerous times for engine light. I had 3 oxygen sensors replaced in a month for the dealership to fInally realize it was my 02 Sensor it was the wiring to sensor! It's always a surprise when I turn it on whether it will be lit up like a Christmas tree. Seems like all dealers say "it needs to reset" for engine light to go off! I know just laugh when they tell me that
