Just learned that our brand spanking new EcoDiesel is leaking transmission fluid..This truck has 250 miles, has never towed anything and is dripping fluid. The dealer is puzzled..asked that I drive it home and bring back next week when they will take a closer look. Of course this a major inconvenience and could be a big issue as it's drive train related and must be corrected. Thoughts or suggestions?..a worried Ram owner.

Sounds like the "O" rings around the lines that attach to side of tranny from the oil cooler. Problem started with new 8 speeds last September..

Hopefully it is an easy fix and they just have to replace a hose or something like that. Did the problem happen from the start or did you just encounter it after driving around for the 250 miles?

Just make sure they have an equal loaner truck waiting for you. Hopefully it's a quick fix.

Hope it is nothing major. I have had a couple of trips to the shop for minor things so far. But nothing like leaking drivetrain fluids. Let us know how it goes.

definitely make sure they have a loaner for you that is equal to what you have like mentioned above, don't want to be left with a prius rental !
