After reading the forums here, there are two options I did not order but am wondering if I need to or can wait till later to see if really need them. So, are these two available after I get my truck or should I change what I ordered now?

Remote Start
Engine Block Heater

I am interested because I will be using it for short trips a lot.

I need to point out that I am getting the Tradesman. I see the engine block heater as an option but not the remote start? Can I get that through MOPAR for the Tradesman if I want it later?

hey funpilot neither will give you too much hassle... You can go Mopar or aftermarket for a remote start system. All the Ecodiesels have a black heater, you just need to get the cord, see sparks post here http://www.dieselramforum.com/forum...gine-block-heater-attachment-2.html#post21810

You really don't need the engine block heater now that the weather is warming up. You could put that off until the fall probably. As for the remote start, thats just a matter if you want it or not. I don't see how you really could "need" it.

Bed step are a must, especially if you will be getting in and out often enough. Even if you're not it's a nice accessory to have, make life easier.

The Bed Step description says it won't work with a dual exhaust. Since the EcoDiesel has dual exhaust I'm thinking it won't fit?

Not all the EcoDiesels have dual exhaust. I believe the Tradesman and Outdoorsman have single exhaust.

Remote start and camera

I pulled the trigger on my order of the Ram 1500 too quick. The following week I asked if I could add the remote start and rear back camera. I was told, even thought it is going to take 7-10 weeks, that it is too late to add anything to the order.

Anyone suggest an aftermarket remote start? Is this a plug and play?

Aftermarket camera? Does anyone know if the Big Horn is pre-wired?
