Just wondering if any of the Canadians on here ordered their ED and if so did you get a VOT or the like to track it online. When I asked the dealer about this today I was told Dodge does not make tracking numbers public. If I wanted to track it I'd have to get the dealer to do it for me. Is the VOT and website tracking only in the US??

I ordered mine on July 8 and my dealer is only able to see the VIN yesterday. Now I have an estimated build date. Still another 5 weeks away. The dealer can track it but mine would not give me any numbers like a VOT until it was accepted into the Chrysler system and turned into a VIN.

Great. Thanks for the info. Sounds like they opened the ordering a few days early as well (had heard orders were not being accepted until Aug 8).

Do you happen to know if it is being built in Michigan or Mexico?

Unless it's a single-cab, they are all built in Michigan.
Search youtube for Warren Assembly plant and you'll see some cool videos of the manufacturing process.

Right on, Thanks for the replies. I went into the dealer today and finalized everything. Financing and everything is done and the order is now in. They are standing by the 6-8 week timetable. Be interesting to see when it actually gets here. Depending on who you believe I've heard that production on the 2015's doesn't start 'till more than 8 weeks from now. (meaning del would not likely be for another 3-4 weeks after that!) But I've also see on another website that changeover has started already and the '15s could be rolling out the door in as little as 3 weeks. It will be interesting to see who is correct.

The dealer also said that the only way for me to get status updates is by going through their sales mgr.

I hope it gets here sooner than later as it feels like its been an eternity already and it's only been official for a few hrs! LOL.

Any luck with going through their sales manager? I hope he can have some solid information for you on this.

I have not called him this week. We just got the order done Friday evening. As impatient as I am I don't want to be harassing them every day. Lol. I will likely call him later in the week. Friday the did tell me he could decimate track it for me. But Ram just doesn't make tracking numbers public in Canada for some reason.

I, too, saw info that 2015 production wasn't scheduled until mid October, but a friend just ordered last week & says dealer claims his will be delivered early sept. Anxious to see if it comes to fruition.
I just got a build date for my 2014 of sept 8 so I don't think they're building any 15's that early.

My dealer also told me they were getting orders in 4 to 5 weeks. Ordered July 8 so it's eight weeks before they even build it. Probably a couple more weeks to ship it.

Wow 4 months!!! I thought they have 90 days max to deliver the truck! After 90 days you can cancel the deal, is that right? I'm depressed now :0
Did you track the progress of your truck being built/transported somehow?
I'm in Oshawa
Tnx for reply!!!

There were some delays in september while they made some programming changes to the truck. you will read here that some guys had to take their truck in to get re-flashed a couple of times. Mine was being built at that time so I guess they just held it until it got all the flashes. 7000kms and not a bit of trouble so far so a little bit of wait time was worth it. Your salesman will be able to look a the status. I emailed my about every two weeks and he told me where it was in the process. We're close to the plant, about a 6 hour truck ride so you don't have to wait for long delays like the guys down south or at the coasts.

I just called my sales rep, he said the truck is scheduled to be shipped on December 19. Usually it take 7-10 business days to arrive so he is saying most likely first week of January if we are lucky end of this month! :)))
Super excited now, thanx Zoomie!
