This ECO diesel is so dang fancy my 8 or 9 year LG Flip phone will not stay paired. I have had some others people try to do it but all came to the same conclusion that the old phone was not compatible enough. This style phone cannot be updated so as I was eligible for an upgrade so I got another but more updated Samsung Flip phone. The salesman said He could give me a great deal on a Smart Phone but I told him my I Pad does all I need when traveling.:|

It has to do with the new Blue Tooth Tech. It isnt very compatible with the old technology. Update your phone.

I think you have to have a smart phone with the U Connect app for it to actually work correctly. I have one and love it. I start my truck all the time from the app and if I ever have an accident in the truck it will automatically call for help using my phone if the airbags deploy.

That is only for the UConnect web service. Just connecting your phone to the radio requires your cell phone to have BlueTooth capabilities. Again i think it needs to be made in the last decade
