Conflicting information on RAM sites for new RAM EcoDiesel trucks

Seems there is a big disconnect between what the "Build link" allows you to build and the specs with towing links and the specs out at RAMBODYBUILDEER.COM

Called RAM customer service and they confirmed the discrepancies but had no idea which ones were correct. In my case, I want the 3.92 rear axle ratio on a Tradesman 4x2 that I cannot build using the build link but is shown as available everywhere else.

Asked if I could be pushed up the ladder to someone who could address it and was told they do not have those phone numbers. I got on my own the phone numbers for media relations and talked with a very nice person who said she would share the information quickly to see whether the specs are all wrong or the build site is wrong. Told her if the build site was incorrect that they were losing customers.

Will they be getting back in touch with you to confirm which is which?
I was called back by one of the engineers (can you believe that!) who confirmed that the website is wrong and that the build site is correct. I think you need to have 4x4 to get it at this time. They still have some engineering issues around what tires and tire rating to use with that axle that they have not resolved but said that he expected the 3.92 to be available in the 2015 model year, if not a little sooner.
Good catch on figuring out this discrepancy. You are a great customer to let them know so that they can fix it. They should send you a free pin or something.
Funny I have a Tradesman 4x4 with a 3.92 on order. Is the 2015 estimate on the 4x2 or both 4x4 and 4x2?

Might be the reason i am in the limbo i am in.
good info

hopefully it'll get corrected soon to stop the confusion
Chrysler always prints the brochures before final decisions are made on builds. Which is why so many dealerships and customers are upset.
You cannot get an Outdoorsmen with 17 inch tires and wheels right now and that's how they're suppose to come from the factory. They make you buy the 20" rims and tires and rake you over the coals on cost.
You cannot get a Laramie Quad cab with the Eco Diesel even though literature says you can..
So Dodge finally got back to me on why I haven't gotten word one since my order in 2/21/14. The 3.92 gearing was the hold up on my Tradesman 4x4. They couldn't build it in that config and I had to go down to a 3.55. On the bright side I got to redo my order and add some features that were missing from my previous order. Maybe I will see my truck by the end of the year....right now my confidence is low.
that is good to hear. sucks that you have to wait so long...

WTF, why did the 3.92's become restricted? Did they mention if the 3.92s are excluded from all Ecos now or just excluded from Tradesmen?
3.55 is a 8k tow rating and a 3.92 is a 10k tow rating, apperently people are having luck ording this as a Outdoorsman

I wonder if its simply a component shortage. If I'm remembering correctly some of the early deliveries we're equipped with 3.92s... STRANGE!
-shrug- what can you do....the irony now is i get my vin in time for vots to be down yay!.....
When I ordered mine I was unable to get 3.92 and had to go with 3.55. They didn't offer on/off road tires either. Had to go with all season. I ordered 5/24 and was told 8-10 weeks. I guess we'll see if it gets here on time. Hope so!
