two or three months ago I found a video on YouTube that showed a guy that deleted his DEF exhaust system completely. he replaced a module and the entire DEF exhaust piping. at the end of the video he took off with his truck and belched out black smoke.....
now, it's NOT that I want to belch out the black smoke, BUT I would like to know if it's true that he'd get an additional 4 to 8 MPG by doing such a thing. also, this would completely get rid of the "regeneration" cycle.
I haven't been able to find that video. I'm thinking the author had to remove it, either because of a lawsuit from the EPA or RAM, or because of some other issues.
has ANYONE else seen that video? anyone else know if removing the DEF exhaust piping possible?
