Dash display said filter was 80% full. I drove 90 miles at 70 plus miles per hour and now display says 100% full. Dealer want to drive it for a while. Anyone see this problem?

I just went over 10,000 on the drive trying to clear the filter.

The dealer has Saturday service but said it would be at least 2 weeks before they could even look at it. (Ron Carter Dodge in Alvin, Texas)

I just hit 18,000 and have not had that error. Do you drive in really dirty areas? Any other dealer option around you?

I do not drive in dirty or dusty areas. Calling other dealers today.

Just thinking out loud here... Perhaps a faulty sensor (so it really isn't 100% full), or the injectors are supposed to add a little fuel during the exhaust stroke (which is the regen cycle) so the fuel exits the combustion chamber and flows downstream into the DPF where it burns off the deposits. So perhaps this isn't happening. Or maybe it's happening but not injecting enough fuel or not long enough to raise the temperature in the DPF to burn off the deposits... Maybe it has to do with software?

clogged up faulty EGR valve will also cause the problem.
