I'm going to order a new 2016 today, my question is does the motor come with an engine block heater installed or do I have to get to cold weather group to get the heater? I know ford installs the heater, you just have to buy the wire harness.

I just picked up my 2016 Outdoorsman, and it came with the heater. But I do believe it is an option. It may have been included in the Outdoorsman package group, I really did not check on this. But otherwise you better make sure to add it if it is something you want.

Also, it came with a grill cover for really cold weather.

Also, I was shocked I did not get the NAV on my truck when I picked it up. I've done dozens of builds and nowhere did I see this as an option. You think it has the large 8.4 display with all the options, but it was not there. Fortunately the dealer said they can add it by flashing the unit, but at a cost. It's like ordering a truck and you pick it up and there is no AC? What the $%&#^%

Yeah the NAV is a $600 option and if you got the front grill cover then you got the Cold Weather Group. I guess I'll get the package, not it gets any colder than 0 in our local mountains, but you never know.

It's like your Ford. The engine block heater is already installed, you just need the cord that runs from the plug outlet to the wiring harness fitting. If you do a search, I'm pretty sure it will come up, and I know some people have purchased it from Amazon.

heater comes with engine from factory. I found it easier to remove the front wheel to gain access.

You can get a cord from Genos Garage for about $20 or you can get the very nice one with the clips and extra coverings to protect it form heat from the dealer for $120. Well, I bout the one from the dealer and didn't pay $120 and also got them to do the install so now its covered by warranty. Also bought the front end cover from them and did not pay the $120. It pays to be nice.
