Engine Oil

Was going to do the first oil change yesterday, but problem was I could not find the rated oil anywhere!

Specs are ACEA C3 5W-30 that meets Chrysler materials spec MS-11106

or

Pennzoil Ultra Euro L Full Syn.

The closest I could find is Ultra Platinum Euro L however, it is for gasoline engines, and neither has the ACEA C3 rating nor MS-11106 rating. Further exploration on the Pennzoil website did not show such oil as described in the manual exists.

This is the only oil that I could locate meeting the specs:
Mobil 1™ ESP Formula 5W-30

Tim, you are correct. Those are the only two oils that I have found to meet the specs as stated in the owners manual. No where to be found locally. Internet only.

I bought some of the Pennzoil and the had a $0.20 discount/quart for fuel through the fuel rewards network program (Shell)....so I have $2.40 off per gallon at my next fill up.

Pep Boys carries Mobil 1 ESP. I bought some there.

I have one 5 miles away. I don't get that way very often however I'll give them a try.

I just looked at pep boys and the Mobil ESP is $12.79/qt. Amazon has the factory Pennzoil for about $98 for 12 quarts. No tax and shipped for free.

Might have been a late addendum however they should have been mailed to current owners who may not have received it.

Interesting. The product spec sheet has a 2/2012 date. Maybe the product has been updated since then?

The Tech sheet also says this....
"Reduces exhaust filter blocking"
