I took my truck to my dealer, as part of my package I get FOUR free oil changes! Hopefully after that the oil and filter should be readily available.
If there are some objective reports or analyses of this, I would like to know about it. If it's their own claims then that settles it, it must be the best.I think today one of the best option for engine oil is Bosch because it handles higher soot level and protects engine parts against the corrosive action of combustion gases.
Holey schmoley - good catch and thanks for the information.Hey folks double-check your invoices if you have had the oil changed at the dealership.
If under parts section it lists 5166241-PA this is Pennzoil Platinum and the WRONG oil!
The correct oil for the EcoDiesel is 68001334-PB which is
Pennzoil Ultra Euro L.
This just happened to me the other day. I made the dealership drain the oil and put the correct oil in!
Thank you! Yes, I would like to score that kind of deal as well! There is a Shell station near me but they are always 20 cents or so higher then anyone else for diesel. I am not complaining at all for around 125$ oil change. My hemi was obviously less than that but I had to change it twice as often. I'll look for the filter. Thanks for the info! Oh, dumb question...should the motor be warm or cold when draining?? I saw something about this a few months back and can't remember. Thanks!Mopar p/n - 68229402AA. There are some knock off filters, but in my opinion buy oem until a well known name brand starts manufacturing them.

To be honest, anything I change oil in I always run the engine for a short time. I was taught that years ago by my dad and have continued to do so since then.
I did a break in oil change around 3500 or 4000 miles....(it's written down in my shop, so I can't give an exact), again something my dad taught me. It It overkill???....maybe, but It's how I've always serviced all of my vehicles and toys and I've always had good luck.
