Our other drive is a VW Diesel (yes, one of the now infamous TDIs). We weren't put off by diesel as a concept, just VW as a company. My present drive (my wife drives the Sportwagen) is a FIAT 500 sport. Good mileage, fun for a while, but a real slog in stop-start highway commute logjams (manual transmission for the pep).

I look forward to delivery of my quad cab EcoDiesel 4x4 SLT sometime in February.
