I don't doubt that the F-150 can and will out drag the others in a tow off, but as well all know thats not really the important metric when towing. Its all about economy. Because what they didn't tell you was that the Ford used half a tank of gas 
That is probably true, but I think that the main issue is the classification of the two trucks. The Ford heavy duty truck is technically in a different class than the Ram. So it might be more stable and able to tow more, but its technically in a different class (its also the only one in that class).I don't tow that heavy ever but wouldn't a heavier truck be more stable? I do understand what they are trying to do. All mfrs do this regardless of the industry. It would have been interesting to see the MPG too.
