I was under the impression all the Motori 6's were coming from across the pond, but I came across a line in an Allpar article that would indicate otherwise...

In the Motorhouse, where the engine assembly is completed before being mated to the chassis, the Warren Truck team had to figure out a way to manage building three different engines (a gasoline V6, a diesel V6, and a V8), with over 170 unique parts and nearly 70 parts that look and feel the same, but are different. The solution was to “kit” the parts and put them not the truck, which prevents time wasted in walking to get parts, while ensuring that the right parts are installed in the right trucks

What had you under the impression that the Motori 6 was coming from elsewhere? I haven't stayed in the loop about this engine.

That would be contrary of what I read a a couple of months ago for Motori in Italy expanding their plant and production.

There not building the engine there it is a separate line we called kuka line at at assembly plant I worked at in Fenton on that line is where the starter, Ac compressor & stuff like that
are put on engine before finally assembly the engines come complete minus throttle linkage starters Ac compressor ect

well the engine isnt exculisve to just the Ram or Jeep.

Key word is "completed". They need to add parts to the basic engine. It sounds like that's what they mean.
