I know we've got EcoDiesels running around, actually saw my first in actual life, actually driving on an actual road, so confirmed! Question however, any issues to date? I heard there was a minor recall but now biggie, anything significant or absurd?

Was that for the transmission-park issue or is it for something else?

yea the gear box issue, but actually I'm not sure if that even affects Eco's as it was only a 12 day period late Jan early Feb...

I did read on another site however that one guy had his number 4 injector fizzle out...

Ouch....but I think those will be isolated cases, the piezo injectors have been well established.

My only issue to date was a washer fluid reservoir hose that was either frayed or forgotten upon installation. 1 hour at dealership and on my way again.

I've heard of washer fluid leaking once before this. So that could be something to watch for. Haven't really heard any other problems. Nothing that would constitute a pattern.

Mine is causing sleepless nights, anxiety, erratic day dreaming, spending too much time reading about ecodiesel, waiting for it to be built and delivered. LOL

LOL....Quick get Ronsram to the ER, he needs a diesel transfusion! :D

It is a different feel from the three 2500's I've owned over the years, but I think your going to like it.

There is one think that is a littlebit anoying, downshifts to easily (obviously by design). On my 08, I enjoy the 60 to 90mph in just a few short seconds without the downshift at nearly 3/4 throttle!

You are so right I should have my head examined for buying a gas truck. Probably be less painful and less expensive just to have my arse kicked.

sorry to hear that,
hopefully next years model has these issues addressed.
it would suck having to go through winter with that leak and constantly needing to have heat on just to keep the cabin comfortable with that leak.

New to the forum. I have less than 3,500 miles on ED and it is going back to shop Monday for the second CEL. Supposedly fixed three weeks ago after a real debacle the first time in the shop. Service manager was/is a piece of work too. Was told O2 sensors and parts would be shipped in two days. Service manager said he was working daily with Star. I call a week later and was told parts were on back order and they would be is few days. Called a week later, parts are on way, shop will call when in. I call a week later, parts are in and scheduled service. They changed a fuel filter.

First, I had to call every time to find out the status, and second, it was not the same repair that I was told. Now I look forward to going back through this mind numbing experience again!
