That's too bad. Is anyone finding themselves affected by these delays? Have you been waiting a long time for your Ram Ecodiesel?

Thanks for posting.

According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out...

The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.

Mine was ordered on July 8th. Dealer says a couple more weeks and it should be here. We'll see.
I ordered on the same day and I have a build date of Sept 9. Luckily I live about four hours from the plant so I suspect it will come by truck.

Anyone know what the wait times for the 2015's are looking like right now? I know I have to wait for my dealer to get more allotments around the 5th of November, but beyond that I don't know how long I'm really looking at. Anyone have ideas?

We ordered our truck in late September. Just came from the dealer because the ordering system is down so I haven't received ONE status update. Found out that my truck is in painting and will be in transit next week with an ETA here in SoCal by mid-November. Also found out that new orders won't be processed until November, which goes along with what you were told. Keep in mind that there usually a plant closing between Christmas & New Year as well. So my guess with the holidays is that it's probably 8+ weeks. I kept telling myself if I had to wait 3 months that it would still be worth it (which it is), I'm just glad that it's coming before Thanksgiving!:)
