looking to get a ecodiesel but need some help

I currenty have a 2008 Toyota Tundra and I'm ready to jump on the ecodiesel band wagon. I'm tired of getting poor mpg's I do tow a 21'DLX Carolina Skiff and from what I've read the truck shouldnt have a problem pulling that. My problem is when do the 2015's come out? I wasnt going to be too picky about what color and options but at a price tag of over 35k I think I will just get what I want. There arent many 2014's out there left so the selection is limited. If anyone knows when the 2015's are going to be released I would appreciate the info. Thanks

Orders for some can be done now. As for "released". There is no such thing.

They will start building them (if they can get enough engines) sometime in October. First ones will be for orders and few to none for stock. Pricing has not yet been opened so orders can be a bit "blind" and some dealers are having trouble even ordering the 2015's in many styles. Expect early orders to be filled late November or so.

My take from lots of sources is they just cannot make enough engines to satisfy the demand. Remember that this engine is used in other models, like the Grand Cherokee, and other brands. There is an engine availability issue.

If you want one stop "goofing around" and jump on any reasonable opportunity that presents itself.

It was virtually impossible to find one on a lot for a few months after the initial release of the 2014's. Still a rarity today & selection is very limited. My guess it's going to be a similar situation with the new model year. As cap said, production was scheduled for oct; I heard the 15th & more recently the 8th. However, the flood earlier this month reportedly did some major damage to the plant in warren & will most assuredly retard the build date. I doubt you'll see any of these beasts on lots until dec or jan & then only in very limited quantities.

Doesn't seem to be a shortage of them up my way, Ontario. I have been shopping around last couple of weeks at 4 different dealers. Got pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Pick it up today.

Congrats! Is that ontario Canada?

Keep us posted on pictures of it once you take delivery
I can't understand all the talk about 2014 shortage. There are currently 1380 available EDs on cars.com. On the Friday before labor day there were 1600 EDs available netting 220 sold nation wide with the availability of company incentives. Even if 300 of those are bad listings there are over 1000 still. There are also 18 used with low mileage. Of course some dealers are asking $83,000 for their trucks so at that price you might have a chance to buy a 2014 ED few years down the road.
I didn't know about cars.com thanks for the input
Have a talk with your dealer, they will tell you when you can order. You should try to drive one too, even if it's nothing like you want to order, the diesel has a little different driving characteristics. I love it but it is different.

That's actually a great point. driving the V8 and then an ED might just make you understand it better. reading about it is great and all but nothing like getting behind the wheel of the both of them.
