Courtesy of an upgraded cooling system certain 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesels have seen their tow ratings increased.

An Allpar reader first noticed the change on Ram's website which was later corroborated by Ram PR. The 2016 Ram 1500 4x4 Ecodiesel in Crew Cab configuration with the 5 foot 7 inch bed is capable of hauling 8,400 lbs with the 3.92:1 rear end.

The 9,200 lb max tow rating in optimized configuration remains unchanged however.

Good to see that capacity for ecodiesel is increased - it's still not going to be a clear choice between this and petrol though it looks like at least there's a significant effort being made to ensure that the benefits from this are getting better over time.

Anybody

Need help. My 07 2500 5.9 today I was driving and lost acceleration power and my o/d light came on and is staying on I shut the truck off and started it back up and was able to drive about another 100 feet before it happen again I have plenty of trans fluid as well as engine fluid I'm pretty well versed in diesel mechanics but this is stumping me
