Hello all. Excited to have finally purchased my first diesel truck. Previously owned a p.o.s. F150 and still have my '98 Camaro z28 as a summer toy. Just bought myself a 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel with a 6 inch zone lift on 37 inch tires. I don't know too much about the upkeep required when owning a diesel so any tips and information will always be appreciated!

Think about getting a monitor, not a tuner (tuner can void warranty). Great for monitoring REGEN, temperatures and you can set alert if one of the items get too hot. A must when towing a trailer. Also, you can read the error codes and even reset it.

Recently I switch to Shell V-power diesel. On my third tankful. Started at about 17000km. Do a bit of research. By the end of my second tank, I sudden noticed a big difference, in performance, smoothness, quieter engine noise and more power.

Not sure what your winter are like, but if you are 7c or colder, you need winter covers. Truck warm up quicker, less DEF use and filter doesn't fill up as quick, needing REGEN.

Nice looking truck. See my signature for what I have so far on it.
