Alright, so once we start to see the first deliveries made I'm going to begin my process. The goal is to have my order in by May/June depending on allocations and demand. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to sign the dotted line the option of Diesel and a Reg cab is available. As of now I'm stuck with Quad.

Anyways, here's the proposed goodies. I'm in Ontario...

RAM EcoDiesel Outdoorsman
Blue Streak Pearlcoat
Engine: 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel
Transmission: 8-Speed Automatic (8HP70)
4x4 Quad Cab 140 in. WB

OPTIONS

Transmission: 8-Speed Automatic (8HP70) [$1,000]
Engine: 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel [$4,500]
Premium Cloth Bucket Seats [$1,000]
Trailer Tow Group [$475]
Luxury Group [$695]

MSRP: $42,095
Discount: $8,500
Options: $7,670

Starting at: $41,265
Destination: $1,695
A/C Tax: $100
Money Down: $10,000

Net Financed: $33,060
Estimated Monthly: $380 over 96 months at 4.29%

Now my monthly payment is susceptible to change. I'll put $10K down regardless but we'll see what the trade in value of my Ranger, its an '08 FX4 just south of 100K, I'm expecting at least another $10K for that. I'd like to bring it back from 96 months as well otherwise I'm getting dinged hard with the interest...

Just hoping that $8,500 discount is kicking around in a month or two :D

Wow you've got your Ram 1500 up to a much higher price than mine. That hefty down payment makes it pretty affordable month to month though.

What is this $8,500 discount that you speak of???
an $8,500 discount LOL, it what the dealers in my area are offering, it was based on postal code (ZIP for americans) I'd like to think I can talk the salesman a little higher on the discount ;)

380 a month. very doable
Yea, to be honest I'm a little confused as to how RAM.ca spit out that number for me. I did my own calcs in excel based on financing $33,060 over 96 months at 4.29% and it kicked out a monthly payment of $407.45.

However its likely the number the RAM.CA website quoted me is on the conservative side to get me into the dealer. I'm positive the number they gave me was before interest and taxes/per month...

Here are my other calcs for 72, 60 and 48 months

72 months: $521.61
60 months: $613.19
48 months: $750.76

Again, keep in mind these numbers were using the simple PMT function in excel and are more than likely incorrect ;)

It would be nice if the website gave some more information on how it calculates your expected monthly payments because there could be a lot of variance depending on what the math is behind the final figure.

Are dealers really giving out discounts close to $10k? Please point me in that direction.

there should be something on the config that mentions if that price includes taxes and fees.
