Hello Forumites,

I have been looking for the last six months for my ED, virtually non existent in Southern California.

I lucked out last weekend and found one in transit to a local dealer.

I bought it sight unseen, like many of you, without having to wait the 13 plus weeks.

Well here are the specs:

Outdoorsman 4 X 4
Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearlcoat
Customer Preferred Package 28T
Comfort Group
Trailer Tow Mirror and Brake Control Group
Uconnect 8.4AN
20" Black Aluminum Wheels

Basically the only thing missing if I were to special order was the backup camera and the spray in bedliner, which are both easily acquired.

This will be the perfect vehicle for me as a beer delivery truck, since I own my own microbrewery, and a great vehicle to get to my cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains. I hope it is as much fun as my '08 Wrangler was

I look forward to following the upgrades and tips that everyone have, along with posting a few of my own

Jim

Looks like transportation from Midwest is still an issue.
I was just informed that my ED is not going to be delivered tomorrow, but it will arrive in So Cal on 10/28.
congratulations and welcome to the forum
Congrats on getting the ED.

Is this your first RAM truck or have you owned RAM trucks in the past?
Haulin,

My first, but my Father had a 2500Cummins that he got in '97, it never had any issues to speak of and was a workhorse.
Nice!
did you at least get to drive that often enough? those 2500 cummins diesels were awesome, i had an uncle that had a couple of them, he was a big ram truck fan.
Congrats! I've ordered mine here in SoCal as well. I like the Red but we went with Granite.
Just took delivery of my ED. Dealer was nice enough to deliver 128 miles from his dealership to my work. Now I think I am feeling a little sick and may need to go take it for a ride. It is a work of beauty though.:D

I think I would have also felt kinda sick at that point. I would offered to drive him back the 128 miles, just to have some one-on-one time with my new truck!

Yeah that was super nice of them to do that rather than having you drive all the way. Ubt i'm sure that guy from the dealer was just as happy about it as you were...getting paid to drive 128 miles in a new ED....sign me up!
