All the big three have been over producing for months, currently all three are into triple digit days supply of inventory.

GM: 114 Days
Ford: 107 Days
Chrysler: 105 Days

Industry Average: 89 Days

All are on record saying they will all attempt to "sell" their way out with sweet incentives, but not enough incentives to start a price war...

Sounds like collusion, especially when you consider over production by the big three has been fueling recent ramps of manufacturing indices.

"With inventory levels reaching a point not seen since August 2009 and extreme weather not letting up, we fully expect a short term rise in incentives," said Eric Lyman, an ALG vice president in Santa Barbara, Calif. "The danger is that this turns into an escalating arms race for market share," Mr. Lyman said.

the more incentives the better :D
looks like people need to act fast or find out when these incentives will happen, once they're gone, good luck getting it again

I was also reading about high inventories. Their problem is our gain though. Buy a car this winter and you'll likely save some money is what it comes down to. Don't wait too long or you may miss your chance.

im sure there will be a fresh issue of incentives. triple digit days inventory is never good for no one. There goal is to sell themselves out of it: code word FIRESALE :D

I know some people are waiting on more incentives or even combining it with a discount they're already getting but there's always that risk of the turn around time to increase with the demand going on
