Oil Filter?
I'm a recent owner of a gently used 2014 eco diesel. Not knowing alot about this truck, I joined this forum for advice with the maintenance of the vehicle, do's and dont' s .
I am in the process of changing the engine oil, went out and purchased two jugs of Rotella 5W40 Full |Synthetic oil.
The oil was changed by the dealer when purchased, not quite sure what type of oil has been run through the engine previously. Does the engine have to be flushed to start used Synthetic oil? Also I bought a Fram oil filter. Extra Guard part no. CH11794, is that the correct type filter to use when using synthetic oil?
