Partial de-badging

The nice thing about de-badging is that you can take as much or as little of it off as you please. I started taking of the side badging and once the "1500" was off, noticed that since the "RAM" badge was perfectly aligned with the "ECODIESEL" badge and it looked pretty good, so I stopped there.

The process was super easy. I used the fishing line technique to get the numbers off then peeled the adhesive off using the edge of a credit card to help it along. I tried wax and grease remover on the remaining adhesive and all it did was push it around so I switched to enamel reducer and that worked like a charm.

That enamel remover trick is probably real useful to many.

Might look "cool" to have the Ram removed and leave only the Ecodiesel badge. I have seen pictures of everything removed. Just seems like a cheap truck, especially ones without chrome bumpers. Makes them look like "ready-to-work" fleet trucks.

Your pickup is nice-looking with a touch of class.
I think it might look cool if you take the RAM badge and paint it matte black or something. You know, leave the badge on the truck but make it a lot more subtle with a paint job that doesn't look as obvious.
I'm with 10, might look real good with just EcoDIESEL. I'd also see about grabbing an extra one to put on the tailgate. Good looking truck!

Putting an Ecodiesel badge on the tailgate would be trick. Especially good if I can put one over the dents I get backing into things.
If it didn't have the chrome bumpers, I would have removed the RAM badge as well, but I think they sort of balance out. An EcoDiesel badge on the tailgate would definitely be cool.

BTW, it's enamel reducer, not remover. Big difference.

Looks nice .. Tradesman?
Looks great! What side steps do you have installed in that picture?
Love it, great way to clean up the side profile. What other changes do you plan on making to your ED?
