Parts Shortage?

2672 Views 9 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Tim
Was reading on another site about a potential replacement parts shortage for the Eco. He had an electronic throttle control signal flash, turns out it was an exhaust sensor. But thats not really the issue at hand, seems that Chrysler is restricting parts orders on warranty work. They are only allowing one part to be ordered per warranty claim according to him...

Not sure just what is happening, anyone can shed some light on this?

Like with anything new, parts are usually scarce at first; but hopefully parts should become readable in the near future.
FYI...went to local stealership $56 for oil filter!!!
It's a canister type filter, you only get the element, the casing is reused, like the fuel filters on the Cummins.

I wouldnt worry about this for the long term, i'm sure that aftermarket filters will become available. I'm going to call Geno's garage to see if they will stock oil and fuel filters. I hope they did not sell me a fuel filter, because it looks similar to the ones for my 6.7. The guy at the sales desk checked three times so I assume its the right one.

Has anyone done a oil change and can confirm this?
