How does that work? o.0
x2I think that the awards like this would be more legitimate if they had more transparency into how the cars are scored and what scores they are actually getting. Without that transparency than for all we know it could be based on who pays the most, or simply by popularity and hype. It's especially important given that some of the vehicles are not on sale to the general public yet.
Well if you go search around Motor Trend has explained somewhere the nuts and bolts of their selection process, but even so its not illegal to lie. In light of that I do not buy based on awards or auto journo opinions.I think that the awards like this would be more legitimate if they had more transparency into how the cars are scored and what scores they are actually getting. That is so true. Awards like those don't have much of an effect on people that are really into this stuff, we're already armed with our own info or know where to find out what we want.Well if you go search around Motor Trend has explained somewhere the nuts and bolts of their selection process, but even so its not illegal to lie. Awards like this are not for dedicated shoppers like ourselves. They're for jay birds on the fence with little to no knowledge.
"Oh look EcoDiesel won MT ToY, Must be good, MT tells the truth!"
you can see how that would be effective.
