Now that 2014 is over, we get to look back at the complete sales stats for the year. This year was a good year for the Ram pickup as it came in at 3rd place overall for sales in the US. It still trailed its rivals the Chevrolet Cilverado and Ford F-Series, but it jumped from the 5th spot in 2013 to the 3rd spot in 2014. That is a marked improvement. Outselling both the Accord and the Camry is no easy feat.

Here is the full list of top selling cars in the US for the year 2014.

1. Ford F-Series
2. Chevy Silverado
3. Ram Pickup
4. Toyota Camry
5. Honda Accord
6. Toyota Corolla
7. Nissan Altima
8. Honda CR-V
9. Honda Civic
10. Ford Fusion

All i see on this chart is 'merica. Its nice to see the big three at the top. Regardless of my feelings about ford and chevy, id rather see them on top then a honda or toyota.

Even in Canada this is the case, F-150 at the top of it all. Ford probably feels really nice about that, especially for as long as they have been able to maintain that sales position.

However, every single vehicle on that list is currently produced in the USA...
Honda and Toyota both have huge manufacturing facilities in Ontario Canada too.

I think that this list isn't too surprising. Ram did a good job of overcoming some of those popular sedans in order to get to third place. I'm not sure it will ever be able to overtake the Silverado or F-150 though.
