Ram pickup trucks were the 4th best selling vehicle in the United States this April. Ram pickup trucks were up 16.8% last month, which gives Ram pickup trucks its 48th consecutive month of year-over-year gains.

It wasn't enough for Ram to do as it did last month, when it outsold the Chevrolet Silverado for the first time since 1999.

Here is how Ram pickup trucks fit into the top ten list of sales for April of 2014.

1. Ford F-Series - 63,387
2. Chevrolet Silverado - 42,755
3. Toyota Camry - 38,009
4. Ram Pickup - 36,674
5. Honda Accord - 34,124
6. Toyota Corolla/Matrix - 29,061
7. Honda CR-V - 28,485
8. Honda Civic - 27,611
9. Ford Fusion - 26,435
10. Ford Escape - 24,579

It's going to be tough beating the F-150, but over time it will be interesting to see how Ram improves their sales.
Right now it just seems impossible to dethrone the F-150. It would have to be a bit of a perfect storm. Ford would have to make a mistake while Ram does something really well. It isn't just about Ram selling more, I think it has to be about stealing sales from Ford.
for the f150 to loose sales they would have to completely mess up the new f150

You're right, they need something bad happening on their end to let ram move in for a win but with the way things seem to be going, that wont seem likely. At least Ford knows they will be tough to beat.
Since the new F-150 is made with an aluminum body, it will probably cost a bit more than it does now. Do you think that modest up-tick in price could shave off just a little bit of sales for the F-150?
i thought they are keeping the price the same?

Does that mean that Ford is going to have lower margins on each F-150 that they sell, or have they found a way to off est the cost somehow?
well its an update

they will make the money back
