Anyone have a rattling sound when the engine is cold from below the vehicle passenger front door immediately behind the engine compartment (not in the engine compartment)...it sounds to me like a cat shield has worked loose or bad bearing. When I opened the engine compartment the sound was clearly not from the front where the idler pulley, AC, Alternator or pumps are located. I could hear the valve train and injector solenoids (perfectly normal sounds).

I haven't had a chance to get below and check it out when its cold. Otherwise, it's running fine, just the sound.I wonder if this has to do with the exhaust leak issue?

fyi...I looked below and its a cracked support bracket that holds one of the Cats which is hard mounted to the transmission.

Metallurgically speaking, it appears to be a strain harden crack. They should have allowed less rigid support in this case.
