Hi, I have an 08 RAM 1500 and looking for a tailgate assist shock recommendation. There are several options I found on this site : - Best Assist Shocks For All Trucks (auto-truck-accessories.com) It's always been Deezee that I see and has good reviews...I just want to check real people's feedback and if it's really easy to install. I hope they also make a motorized lift assist for an 08 RAM since I find it heavy trying to close it without banging it.

Don't have any input on the style you are looking at.
I have had a torsion bar type assist on my truck since purchased in 2005, still functions like new.
