Went to local dealership w/ my lovely wife to check out the SLT cloth bench seat vs Laramie leather bucket seat. (we tested the Laramie-although hemi engine) Specifically, for her it's the seat comfort level. I wanted to see how the suspension carried over the freeway expansion joints and overall handling.

Got to say, we were both quite impressed. I liked the height, the beefy feel (felt the same as when I tested the 3500), the quietness, and just the general overall satisfaction knowing that I'm making the right decision of downsizing.

The picture I had in my mind of a 1500 was a 180 of what I experienced.

He said 2 Ecodiesels were in transit and would call once they arrive and I'll take one for a spin. He said at that time, the ordering would open.

My son just leased a new Express quad cab Hemi. He went to Chevy and Toyota to try out a truck and see how they were, and really wasn't that impressed. He didn't try the ford because he knew I had a lot of problems with the one I owned in 2000. He has and 03 regular cab 4x4 hemi that I bought him for college and that was 10 yrs ago and It's been a great truck with very few problems, but It's just getting up there in mileage. It was time for a new truck so I convinced him to lease this time because I had a feeling that dodge was going to come out with a new Diesel in there 1500. Sure as the world the 3.0L is on It's way so I'm glad he waited because he want's a diesel. That's only because I have had Diesels for as log as he can remember and with towing our race cars, having a Diesel is the only way to go.

I have to admit, I drove his new Express 1500 and I was very impressed with It. It really is and awesome truck inside and out. The only problem with a gas truck is the mileage. Around here It's about 11 mpg average because of the hills. I have and 03 5.9 and a 07 6.7 that we use for towing our race car and they both get about 17 around town average. If this new 3.0L gets and average 20 around town that will be awesome.....
