what are you doing about getting a tonneau cover? the Ram option is a soft cover. I like the looks of the hard, folding covers better...I have found some I really like.....Bak, Peragon.......anyone looked at or have these?

i'd imagine any aftermarket company that makes covers for the ram 1500 would also fit on the diesel model?>
Haven't looked into these as yet but I know I will be looking for a hard cover when the time comes.
The Ram 1500, whether its a diesel or not, has the same size truck bed. As long as that's the same, I think that any tonneau cover made for the Ram 1500 would also work for the diesel model.
I just ordered a BAKFlip G2 Model. They have one that works with the Rambox bed, which my truck has.

good point, just need to make sure the dimensions and everything is the same.

It was $789.00 from the manufacture's site. I've noticed all these "hard top" ones are about the same price.
Extang Tool Box Tonneau

I installed a full size Husky tool box in the bed of my truck and ordered an Extang 60425 Express Tool Box tonneau cover. Since I have the 5.7 bed the choices were limited after installing the truck tool box. It should be here the first of the week. If anyone is interested I'll post a pic after the install. I wanted a tri-fold style but couldn't find one with my bed size and this one is a roll up style. I've always like the tri-fold but I guess (and hope) I'll like this one... time will tell. :)
I see you folks are looking at hard tops, but I have seen a soft top on two of my buddies’ trucks that look great and they roll up so you don’t loos any space when you need the bed space. It is called the "Truxedo", I was told about that the dealerships where asking between 550 - 750 for them, but on Ebay.com I see a few for 299 plus shipping. It specifies the 3.0 V6 EcoDiesel for a fit and I think it looks very good on their trucks.
The best way I can explain it is that it has a Velcro system and brace system that is clamped onto the sides of the box, then the cover is attached by the Velcro on those two braces which elevate the cover about 3/4 inch high so water cant flow in (it would have to travel up and in to gain access). The cover also has three braces for rigidity, eliminates flapping. Best of all it locks or latches closed at the very back, so it is locked from inside, so someone can’t just open it unless they want to cut it to gain access.
I am planning to order one in a few days, I can post some picks to give you folks an idea if I can figure out how to post them lol
