Has anyone ever heard of or used this site? A friend of mine bought a new Civic through TrueCar the other day, and he highly recommended it.

I have heard it's an easier way to get invoice pricing on a new vehicle.

Never heard about it but i took a quick look, it seems good to me, best thing to do is check out reviews about it online.
yep. it works and it seems to be pretty accurate in finding out what cost is and what the average price sold is.

just about any one of these services are much better than walking into a dealership and "buying blind", either way, using this, you're ahead of most.
dont think ull get any info on the diesel ram 1500 though.. not for some time at least.
Buying online gives you a lot more ability to make a decision without the added pressure of a sales person. Can't see any reason why not to use the site.
I thought it was a site for seeing the real prices of cars?

It helps but then again dealing with a real person might have some perks, like xxxx amount of dollars off of the MSRP.
truecar isn't for buying online. its for looking at what others paid for the same car.
This is what I came up w/ Truecar. I did check invoice prices vs Edmunds and spot on.

I hope my post bringing Truecar to your attention will save you some money then!
i've seen a few members get below invoice. pretty awesome
I just bought my ED using Truecar. I was able to get it for $1500 less than I was able to negotiate earlier...
From what I have gathered over the years MSRP is about 20% markup on Dodge trucks.
I went through Truecar.com. MSRP $43k Truecar.com $35k.
Tradesman 4x4 crew cab, ecodiesel, Tow package, Upgraded radio cd player with cloth interior package, skid plate protection package.
I just ran the 4x4 Laramine I'm picking up Monday and it showed that I got a smoking deal! It says I'm paying $200 over the lowest price, I can live with that!
Well I feel like I got a smoking deal then. I had not heard of truecar.com but it shows I was at cost of $46,795 and $53515 MSRP and I paid $45,495 with rebates etc. Sweet...
I'm paying $44,700 sticker was $53,000 my price included lots of incentives!
So, you may have seen my post but just in case;;; MSRP of 50,215 final price of 40,600 only incentive is the 2,500 rebate. I can get 500 more off if I use Chrysler finance.
