Greetings.....I am shopping around my area for a new Ram 1500 with the diesel....I went to a dealer today who was unable to even get the diesel listed as an option for the truck!! not sure what's going on.......I decided this year to get a new vehicle since my others are 2001 Audi TT and 2003 Jeep Wrangler.........both with relatively low miles.....my motorcycle has more miles per year!! 2006 VTX with 53,000 miles. I finally got the wife on board....we went to the Auto show and both loved the Laramie Longhorn.....so that's what I am shooting for!! hopefully I will order one in the next two or three weeks!!

the dealer I went to has around ten on order.......yesterday they were unable to get the diesel on the site...they were able to get other engines!

That is certainly curious, I wonder if it was just a system glitch, or an actual supply constraint? I think the second allocation will start production in May, but regardless I don't see why that would keep the dealer from being able to order?

Unless, they've reached their allocation as a dealer and are not allowed more?? I'm really not sure...

apparently neither are they...the salesman was supposed to let me know today as to what's up! heard nothing....guess they don't want my business!!

I ended up with another dealer, closer to me....ordered the truck this past Friday......I'm guessing I should get it mid June!
