Washer Pump - Month and a Half Fixed

2734 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  L.O.A.
Started back in mid-May. Dealer said the pump was not working. Dahhh. Even I knew that.

They ordered the new pump. No pump.

They said it was "restricted". No pump.

After more than a month and a "case" by me, the pump came in. Yesterday, Firkins in Bradenton, Fl. replaced the pump and it works.

This is a post that should not be. It's about literally "nothing". Only thing is two salesman/managers there told me Ram is selling so many trucks that their parts system cannot keep up with the demand for the stuff coming off the line. It's a good problem to have and they like the demand.

FYI there are NO Ecodiesels available at that dealership. Sold every one they get and sold them "right now".

But is it actually a different pump than the "regular" 1500's? Sounds like they're operating at max capacity right now, good for them really putting the boots to chevy and their subpar offer!

Now you can retire that wet rag
Doesn't sound like a good problem to have for us if our stuff breaks and we have to wait weeks or months to fix it.
Accussed,

Never asked or found out if it was a different pump. I would think it's the same as all others.

My impression, after being told of all the truck sales, was that it's all trucks - 1500, 2500 and 3500's.

thats what worries me.
