Greetings all.Hi everyone and welcome to our new 1500 Diesel Ram forum!
Please feel free to introduce yourself and let us know what brought you here!
I have a 2017 Ram 1500 with the ecodiesel. My water in fuel light came on and I drained the filter container twice as instructed by the manual and both times saw I no water in the collected fuel, but the warning light stayed on. I took it to my local Dodge / Ram dealer and payed them for a fuel filter change out. They came back saying that the warning light stayed on and it was possibly a bad sensor and wanted another $149.00 to check it out. After paying them the ridiculous amount of $264.00 for a filter change I was disgusted and left. My subsequent internet searches has confirmed how badly I got screwed so any advice as to how I should proceed will be greatly appreciated. I've heard that it may just need to be unplugged and cleaned out but I can't find anything in the manual that shows its location.
