Hello everyone. I have been on the diesel ram forum for quite a while now and have found the site very welcoming. There is a good mix of different types of discussions and people around. Plenty of information for the owner, prospective buyer or lurker.

That's just my opinion though. I was wondering what everyone else thought of the forum. Good? Bad? Weird?

I like it but I wish there was more action. I see lots of viewers but very few posts.

Also, should we have a vendor section? We've deleted unsolicited advertizing as it comes up, but some of it may be useful if we kept it contained.
Maybe we should do something to encourage people to post. Maybe a truck of the month competition or something like that.
I enjoy happy posts and people that mod their truck and share. Not such a fan of people that vent with 1 post and never come back. I do think its good to hear about true problems with the truck though and what the solutions are in case we ever need to educate our dealer

Same as what Zoomie said! Otherwise, it's a great source of useful info!
This forum seems OK, but it doesn’t seem to get a lot of traffic. Since it is called “Diesel Ram Forum” it should be opened up to the Cummins powered trucks.
I see. Verticalscope owns this forum and cumminsforum….maybe some rules there....etc.

Yeah i'm quite surprised this forum isn't more active than it is currently, maybe that will pick up over time as more people take delivery?
It is hard to associate the main name with the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel.

People just may not find it easily.
I personally enjoy and have appreciated ALL of the posts. As a true Dodge fan, reading about the EcoDiesel has been a learning experience. I'm contemplating ordering a 2015, as the availability of any 2014's here in central/northern California is non existent.
Was wondering why so many of you on the forum don't complete your profiles? Knowing your location, interests, and uses of your trucks, gives the other readers more of an understanding of the EcoDiesel.

Great suggestion. I just updated mine per your request.

I too am adding more to my profile but something that bugs me is why people don't put where they live? Are they afraid someone will find them in the middle of the nite and steal their truck? It would make it a lot easier to help someone say if they had a starting problem but don't say they live in a cold part of the country but I guess it's like beating a dead horse :(

This forum helped me pull the trigger on my ED. I read the good and the bad reports and took all into consideration in ordering and selecting options my truck. This forum served its purpose in my case. I also would like to see more modifications, pictures and ways to help the ED engine run more efficiently and give it a longer life span. I'm new to diesel engines, so more info the better.
