Welcome to the forum! You ask here and you will get mopar votes. ..you ask at a f 150 forum you will get ford votes.

At the end of the day it's gotta be right for you. The ford has better advertised towing, the ed has better mpg.....

do some reading here and you will find a wealth of information. I absolutely love my laramie ecodiesel! I get questions and compliments on it all the time. A friend rode down to a race last week with me and complimented on the nice ride and went further by saying it was one of the nicest riding trucks he's ever ridden in (I have the standard coil suspension). He has a newer tundra.

That trip I hand calculated 25.8 mpg running 75 mph with a stiff side wind both directions. I've seen just shy of 29 mpg on a hunting trip across the state running 65-72 mph.

Dravas....have you seen fuel economy readings for the titan Cummins? Reason I ask is the heavy duty 3/4 Diesels do fairly decent. Buddy's 3/4 ton duramax gets 21-22 mpg quite frequently with no mods. With mods it's not uncommon to pull 23-24 mpg.

Nope but its going to be lighter than a 2500 but worse than our ecos when it comes to fuel econ. But it will be a smaller truck and easier to handle than a 2500.

You're going to get a lot of yes's here. Including from me. I have now 8000 trouble free miles on my new ram and would buy it again in a second.
